The 2018 Japan-America Grassroots Summit Committee for Auburn Washington is seeking host families for 3 nights from September 20th through the 22nd to host Japanese individuals or families for the opportunity to become acquainted with local families. The committee's goal for Auburn is 10 host families, Kent families are welcome to participate as well. Kaibara Highschool graduate Haruki Yamamoto, age 20, is a university student planning on visiting the U.S. in August and September 2018. He has not decided if he will stay in Washington state the entire time or if he will travel down the west coast. If you are interested in talking to him about possibly staying with you for any length of time his email address is: haruki-19@ezweb.ne.jp . His English is very good so there shouldn't be much of a language barrier. He is interested in doing more than just sight seeing so if you have any volunteer opportunities or adventures for him to participate in, please let him know even if you cannot host.
